Interior design for Dr. Hornberger's dental practice in Munich – waiting room with wood, green accents, seating groups, children's corner and pictures of the Eversbusch oak

Practice rooms between peace and nature

2023

for the dental health practice, we developed an interior concept that places nature, calm, and a sense of security at its center. the inspiration lay right outside the door: the natural monument of the old eversbusch oak, the rural village surroundings, and the many green spaces. this atmosphere was carried into the interior, where wood, greenery, and warm colors create an oasis that eases nervousness before treatment and fosters trust.

our design combines the precision of a dental clinic with an inviting, homelike mood. high-quality, easy-to-maintain furniture, six seating options, and a small children’s corner make the space accessible for all generations. abstract chairs evoke treetops, while colorful stools bring accents like flowers in a meadow. large artworks – from the iconic eversbusch oak to forest motifs – and the view into the green courtyard bring nature inside and spread a sense of calm. even the red-framed diplomas and the pomegranate, the signature symbol of the practice, were integrated as design elements, offering subtle references to professional expertise and brand identity.

the concept follows the principles of evidence-based design and neuroaesthetics: natural materials and fluid lines enhance well-being, reduce stress, and build trust. at the same time, the intelligent spatial layout optimizes workflow efficiency to the benefit of both patients and staff. the result is a waiting area that alleviates anxiety, creates a soothing atmosphere, and reflects the personality and neighborhood roots of the practice owner.
